Summary:
I threw a baby shower for a friend and since she was having a boy, clearly it had to be mustache themed!!! It christmasy and chilly outside and I thought it would be fun to have a hot cocoa bar where the guests can fill their mugs with all kinds of goodies to make their hot cocoa exactly how they like it. Hot cocoa for that many people can be tricky so I found a recipe for crock pot hot cocoa. I've never tried it before but gave it a go anyways and holy cow it was stupid easy and DELICIOUS!!!

For the bar we had marshmallows, crushed up candy canes, non-crushed up candy canes, ready whip, pirouettes, cinnamon, nutmeg and Baileys caramel. Going with the theme I made mustache mugs. I bought the mugs at the dollar store. I free-handing every single mustache... yeaah Martha Stewart move on out!!! I found a tutorial online so I knew what kind of paint to use and stuff for porcelain. I drew the mustache outline on with a sharpie and then painted over the edge and filled it in. I think it took about 3 coats to get it nice and black and all filled in. Then you pop them in the oven at 325º for 40 minutes to cure the paint and that's it. They are now dishwasher safe! So I did the same thing to the ornaments which we gave as favors (all the guests got to take their mugs home too). Originally my plan was to paint a mustache and then write below it STASHING THROUGH THE SNOW but it's insanely hard to write on a small, slippery globe so I swashed that idea after ruining two of them. Once they were all painted I popped them in the oven like the mugs (said online you can do this for glass ornaments too). I thought I was a genius for thinking that if I put them in cupcake pans that would keep them from rolling around. Wrong. It burnt the shit out of them. My house smelled lovely. I still gave everyone the ornaments anyways. I worked hard on those things and I didn't care if they had a tan instead of being stark white. The other big hit for the party was the photo booth. This idea is all over world wide web but it's hilarious cute and fun. I found stick on mustaches at the dollar store and we got nutty.
