Summary:
My daughter’s first birthday party was so fun to plan! I didn’t want to do a typical “theme” so I just made it all girly. I hung large flowers and butterflies that I got from Hobby Lobby on my light fixture over the table. On the table I filled martini glasses with colorful jelly beans and put the number “1” candle in it. I made cupcakes with butterflies and carnations. The butterflies were made from red hots for the body , twizzlers for the antennas and orange slice gummies cut in half for the wings. The large cake on top was for my precious birthday girl to dive into! We grilled out so we served hamburger and hotdogs along with salsa and dips and potato salad. Outside on our patio I hung pink and white paper lanterns in all different sizes.
