Barn Yard Bash

PARTY SUMMARY
Venue: Backyard

Summary:
I used a barn yard theme for my daughter's second birthday. She was really into learning her animals and making their sounds at this age so it was a perfect party for her and all her friends! I had all the fun activities for the kids in my backyard with a sign that said "Welcome to Rylee's Farm" with bales of hay all around for seating. There was a "chicken house" (bounce house), "horse rides" (spring horse), and "pig pen" (pink balloons with pig faces and curly string for a tail). The pig pen was a hit because when the pigs were "released" the kids started screaming and chasing after the balloons! I made a coloring book for another activity station when the kids needed to sit and rest a bit. The food was indoors and we had a lot of “Farm Feed” for everyone. There was “pig slop” (chilli) for the adults, “pigs in the blanket” for the kids, “straw” (French fries), “grains” (granola bars), apples and fresh veggies. For dessert we had “cow patties” (Little Debbie star crunch) and “moo cream” (icecream sandwiches) . For the party favors I took bandana’s and filled them with goodies and tied them in my tree to look like apples. Each child got to pick an “apple” off the tree before they left. I had so much fun with this party and you can do so many things with it!
