The main color of the shower was yellow, and I found this amazing table cloth at HomeGoods! The white letters came just like you see from Jo-Ann.
It was hard to find a baby shower invitation that didn’t say “Baby” (singular). Twins invitations are actually hard to come by! I was so happy to find this adorable invitation on TinyPrints.com with two twin birds.
I made this simple banner by tracing the tops of two different size plastic cups and cutting out the circles. The parents of both the mom-to-be and dad-to-be provided me with the baby photos. I then taped the circles to some ribbon and tacked it to our hallway wall!
To keep with the storybook theme, on one wall I hung onesie’s with a sign that read: “Once upon a time there was a Twince and a Twincess.” I found the onesies on Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/listing/64880011/twince-or-twincess-onesie-set).
Guests were asked to fill out “wishes” for both the twins. I typed up the wish cards on my home computer, printed them out, cut them, and glued them to cardstock. Everyone hung the wishes on the table centerpiece full of flowers and branches (branches purchased from Michael’s).
All of the food had corresponding story books. I bought small red frames at World Market and spray-painted them yellow. I then printed out the covers of the storybooks from my computer and framed them. For example, “Humpty Dumpty” was for the deviled eggs.
“Jack and the Bean Stalk” for a homemade black bean salsa.
“Princess and the Pea” for a veggie tray that included sugar snap peas.
“If You Give A Cat A Cupcake” for the cupcakes. I bought the cupcakes from Sprinkles in Chicago and had them customized with baby teddy bears and bottles. I also had “Chicken Little” for chicken salad sandwiches and “The Three Little Pigs” for pigs in a blanket.
Finally – we made “Twin-tinis” which were essentially glorified mimosas with a cuter name :). I had non-alcoholic versions available for the mom-to-be as well.
