Summary:
This year my daughter asked me for a pink flamingo and pineapple pool party. So here it goes... I designed all of the stationery and paper products. Invitations, banners, cupcake toppers, and labels. Now the party favors, oh the favors... I just LOVE this part! I created several different kinds. I mean, why not? You only turn five once in your life! One of the things Sophia had seen in all of the pineapple parties on Pinterest, that she just had to have were the pineapple cups. So we ordered ours from Oriental Trading and added matching striped straws. Then I designed the coordinating labels for bubbles. Only this time I kicked it up a notch with some cute flamingo pinwheels I had seen on Oriental Trading. I just love the way they turned out! Then I got inspired by some yellow treat bags I had in my party supply stash (yes I have one of those, don't we all?) Well I wanted to make them look like pineapples and my daughter loved them. She even petitioned to give them sunglasses and a little hair bow, so I added the die cut glasses, some ribbon and a die cut flower. Aren't they adorable? We think so! Finally, I got inspired by vending capsules and decided to create a pineapple out of them. I used a sharpie to draw X's around the bottom of the capsules. Then I filled the capsules with Sixlets chocolates. I cut two pineapple toppers, made a slit on the middle top of one and the middle bottom of the other to create a 3D effect and glued it to the capsules top. Finally, I used a mini "thank you" tag from our printable suite to give it a finished look. It was a lot of work putting together every little detail, but it was so worth it. And I had so much fun seeing it all come together.
